we spent memorial day weekend at table rock lake, just outside of branson, mo.
we left early saturday morning, stopped for red, hot, and blue bbq lunch, and arrived at the chateau on the lake just in time for massages!!
jane, beau, and dillan checked out the pool while steve and i enjoyed luxurious massages at the spa (wow!!) that evening we all gathered on the deck above the swimming pool, overlooking the lake, to enjoy some dinner. dillan tried the peanut butter, jelly, banana, and chocolate syrup pizza.
the next morning, we all met in the lobby to pick up our picnic lunch and catch the shuttle to the lake. we hopped on our pontoon boat for 4 hours of fun and (lots of) sun. we swam, rescued dora, ate sandwiches, took turns driving the boat, watched beau jump off the cliffs, and basked in the sun. the lake was gorgeous!
after a much needed nap, we all met down at the pool for dinner and fireworks. we ordered a few white russians, calamari, and fried avacado! dillan loved the fireworks show and didn't even cry. what a doll!
the next morning we packed up and met at the pool for a little more r & r before we left. we bid chateau on the lake farewell and headed home for tulsa. we made a quick stop for lunch at bill clinton's favorite fried chicken joint, AQ chicken house. it was fantastic!
